Method-1: How To Control A Computer with Your Phone ( Android Users)
- Turn on the computer and find your computer name. (You can find it from My Computer properties)
- Go to settings.
- Then System and then Turn on the Remote Desktop. ( By default is off )
- These two options must be turned on. (1. Keep your PC awake for connections when it is plugged in 2. Make my PC discoverable on private networks to enable automatic connection from a remote device)
- Now to go to the Advanced Settings and turn on the Configure Network Level Authentication options.
Download and Setup
- Download the app Remote Desktop 8 from Google Play Store into your Android phone.
- Click on the + icon to add a user
- It will automatically detect your nearby pc but in case it doesn’t then you can click on “Manually Connect”
- It will ask you for the remote PC’s user name. You can put the name or type an IP address of the remote computer.
- “Enter every time or Add User Account” from these two choose one option.
- Now tap on the remote computer user name and you will be accessed the remote computer on your phone.

There is another way to control a computer with the phone by using Google Remote Desktop. This is one of the easiest ways to control a computer from a mobile device. Use your Gmail account for signing up. Simply follow the given steps:
- Search for “Chrome Remote Desktop” into Google.
- It will ask you to download “Chrome Remote Desktop” after clicking on the link
- Simply click on the “Down Arrow” to download software on your computer.
- Now go to the google web store to download the Chrome remote desktop extension.
- Type in the search bar “Chrome Remote Desktop” and add it to your browser.
- Now turn on the remote access.
- It will ask you to enter a PC Name. Type any name according to your convenience and click next.
- Now type a 6 digit PIN code and retype to confirm it and click on start.
- The process for the computer is done. Now move to the mobile device.

- Visit the App store On the Phone.
- Download the “Chrome Remote Desktop” app into your phone.
