Silencing an Apple Watch

The Apple Watch may give you some audio notifications for various purposes. However, you may not want these to emit sound at all times. You can mute this audio quite easily. You just have to swipe up from the bottom of your watch face, and you’ll see a bell icon. This will put it in silent mode.

How to Set Up an Apple Watch

When you get a new Apple Watch, the setup is quite easy. You just have to open the app on your iPhone and follow the given instructions. This will let you pair and set it up. Setting up a Child’s Watch

Changing a Watch Band

Remove the Apple Watch and turn it over. There will be two buttons at the top and bottom of the heart rate sensor on the underside. When you push these buttons, you can slide the strap out. Then, simply slide another strap and click it in place. 

Turning Power Reserve Mode On & off

If you want to conserve your battery, swipe up from the bottom of the watch face. There, you’ll see the battery percentage. Tap this percentage and swipe left to right on the power reserve option to switch it on. To switch it off, simply hold the slide button below the Digital Crown until the Apple logo appears.

Taking a Screenshot

If you want to take a screenshot, the functionality is similar to a phone. You have to press the Digital Crown at the same time as the watch’s side button. You can find these screenshots in the Photos album on your iPhone. However, you need to make sure you’ve enabled the Apple Watch to take screenshots. 

Disabling Bedside Mode

You can switch the Apple Watch to the Nightstand mode easily. This will make it display the time, similar to an alarm clock when charging. However, you may want to disable this mode. To do this, simply open the My Watch tab on your iPhone app. There, go into the General tab and tap on Bedside Mode. You can also switch this mode on and off in the settings tab.  

Unlocking Your Apple Watch with Your iPhone

You can have it automatically unlock when you unlock your iPhone. Go to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and click on My Watch. There, select Passcode, and choose Unlock with iPhone.
